Sharagim Habibi is an Associate in the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP where he practices in the Securities and Capital Markets Group, Corporate Commercial Group and Investment Management Group.
With a focus on securities and corporate-commercial law, Sharagim's practice includes:
•Advising public and private companies as well as investment funds on a broad range of matters concerning securities law, corporate law and stock exchange policies.
•Advising clients on general corporate and commercial law issues.
•Advising companies on compliance, corporate governance, contracts and inter-company relationships.
•Acting for clients on transactions including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, financings and offerings.
In addition to acting for more established public and private companies, Sharagim enjoys advising non-profit organizations, small businesses, entrepreneurs and start-up companies on corporate matters including incorporation and structuring, raising capital, and the purchase and sale of businesses. Sharagim also acts on litigation matters, in limited circumstances.
Prior to practicing law, Sharagim spent several years working in the insurance and financial investment sectors where he worked with public and private companies of various sizes from different industries. Through this work experience, he developed expertise in business consulting, business development, risk management and market analysis.
