He has spoken to medical and dental groups regarding risk management and ways to avoid litigation, as well as the successful defense of lawsuits

DAVID M. MAYFIELD received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1962 at which time he was commissioned an Officer in the U.S. Navy. He served in the submarine force until 1967 when he left active duty to enter law school. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserve, retiring with the rank of Captain in 1984.
