Civil Practice

Civil law is the branch of the U.S. legal system that deals with non-criminal legal matters. An attorney with a civil practice primarily deals with preventing legal disputes between parties (often with the assistance of contracts and other types of legal agreements) and resolving disagreements when they do occur.
