Biography

Richard J. Colella practiced in the corporate and securities laws section of a large Dallas, Texas law firm for several years, and has practiced in Ohio since January of 1993. Mr. Colella has represented many types of businesses in connection with their ordinary course and transactional legal needs, from start-ups to large corporations like U.S. Steel and FirstMerit Bank. Mr. Colella assists business clients in drafting and negotiating contracts, structuring transactions, franchise law matters, debt and equity financings, corporate governance issues and legal compliance matters. Mr. Colella often acts as an outside general counsel for established businesses, including advising and serving on Boards of Directors and coordinating specialized litigation cases.
