Biography

David F. Yates' career has been characterized by an uncompromising commitment to his clients while maintaining the highest professional standards. His career includes chairing the employment and labor practices at two large law firms. This has culminated in his being named the Best Lawyers 2012 St. Louis Employment Law-Management Lawyer of the Year and Best Lawyers 2015 Management Lawyer of the Year in Labor Law.

David began his career as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in St. Louis, after which he entered private practice. He has spent his forty-plus year career representing and advising management on all aspects of employment and labor matters. He has appeared before Federal and state agencies and courts throughout the country at the trial and appellate level, including the United States Supreme Court. He has extensive experience in representing businesses and associations of employers in union counter-organizing campaigns and collective bargaining in a wide variety of industries. While he has chosen to step back from the fulltime practice, he continues to be involved with clients and firm attorneys in a wide variety of matters.
