  • In response to ongoing practical challenges and enforcement concerns surrounding the use of modern media to promote medical products, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has scheduled a public hearing on November 12-13, 2009 to discuss the "massive expansion of new tools and technologies" available for communication and promotion. The agency also will accept written comments through February 28, 2010. Registration logistics and other information will be published in the Federal Register for Monday, September 21, 2009 (hearing registration is required).
