Kay Reeves serves as of counsel to Waters Kraus & Paul, focusing her law practice primarily on the prosecution and appeal of toxic tort, qui tam, and complex civil litigation actions. For more than 20 years, she has represented victims of asbestos exposure, those injured by dangerous drugs or other toxic substances. She has also represented clients in commercial disputes and sports law adjudications. At Waters Kraus & Paul, she also represents whistleblowers in cases of fraud against the government. Kay earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley where she graduated with high honors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received a master’s in Public Administration from Troy State University, and was awarded her law degree from the University of Texas, where she was clerk of the Chancellor’s Society, a member of the Order of the Coif, and served on the Texas Law Review. Kay is a member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court, the Bar Associations of the Third and Fifth Federal Circuits, the American Association for Justice, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Kay was a member of the team nominated for Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1999, an award presented by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (*now known as Public Justice). Kay is admitted to practice law by the State Bars of Texas and Washington.
