Barrett Weisz specializes in criminal defense in State and Federal courts. In addition to offices in Boulder, Colorado Mr. Weisz maintains offices in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Weisz is an expert in jury trials having tried over 80 jury trials in Federal, State and Municipal courts.
Mr. Weisz represents individuals under investigation or charged with State and Federal crimes including white collar crimes, sexual assaults, drug possession and conspiracy, domestic violence and driving under the influence. Mr. Weisz has argued criminal appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Mr. Weisz has been named a Colorado Super Lawyer for criminal defense from 2008 through 2018 and Best Lawyers in America for criminal defense from 2012 through 2018.
Mr. Weisz current serves on the Criminal Justice Act Standing Committee which is responsible for the selection and administration of attorneys appointed to defend indigent defendants in the United States District Court, Colorado. Mr. Weisz is also the co-chair of the Boulder County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Committee. Mr. Weisz previously served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar.
Mr. Weisz received his juris doctorate from the University of Denver, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Mr. Weisz received his undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of California, San Diego.
