My areas of practice include all aspects of personal injury law, including car accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death and nursing home abuse and neglect. I am passionate about victim's rights, so I only represent plaintiffs and I have never represented an insurance company. I firmly believe that everyone is entitled to good representation even if they can't afford a lawyer, so the vast majority of my clients are taken in on a contingency fee basis. That means you pay nothing unless I recover a settlement or judgment in your favor.
Many of the clients that come to our firm for help are dealing with enormous personal challenges as a result of their injuries. They are often overwhelmed by what has happened to them and they are looking for a lawyer who will fight hard to get them the maximum amount possible so they can put their lives back together. If I represent you, I will work closely with you on your case so that you know what is going on every step of the way and can concentrate on your recovery. I understand that I am your advocate and I consider it a great privilege to help you get the justice you deserve.
I am a three time graduate of the University of Arizona, where I received my Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree and my Juris Doctor. During law school, I focused my education on plaintiff's litigation and developing trial skills. I worked for the Pima County Attorney's office, where I prosecuted a wide range of criminal trials for the County. I also had the honor of serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Judge David Bury, of the United States District Court, District of Arizona. Judge Bury was one of the most seasoned civil litigation attorneys in the state prior to becoming a federal judge and working for him taught me trial strategy and what good lawyers do and don't do. After law school, I relocated to the beautiful state of Colorado to practice law. I am member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Litigation Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. I am licensed to practice law in both the State and Federal courts in Colorado. I am also a Certified Attorney for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and I represent vets in their appeals for medical care and other benefits.
In addition to my work in the courtroom, I am also an active advocate for Denver's veterans' community. A former soldier myself, I am a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and I currently serve as the Judge Advocate General for VFW, Post 1 in Denver. I also have the honor of being a member of the Board of Directors for The Friends of the Fisher House Denver, a non-profit that helps veterans and their families receiving medical treatment.
On a personal note, I am an avid outdoorsman and have traveled abroad extensively. I greatly enjoy learning about other cultures and studying history and languages. I am married to my beautiful wife who I've traveled the World with and the proud father a wonderful little girl.
