Following graduation from UAB, Mr. Nichols attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, graduating cum laude in 1997. Mr. Nichols's career at Cumberland was marked by the receipt of a number of academic honors, including membership on the Cumberland Law Review and in Curia Honoris. Mr. Nichols was also named a Dean's Scholar and is a member of the National Dean's List.
Mr. Nichols is involved heavily in almost every appeal in which Lee, Livingston, Lee & Nichols, P.C. f/k/a Lee & McInish, P.C. is engaged. He possesses extraordinary legal research and writing skills, and has successfully represented the firm's clients in appeals to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, the Alabama Supreme Court and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
In addition to general civil litigation, Mr. Nichols also works extensively with partner Alan Livingston in the preparation and trial of medical negligence cases. He also practices extensively in the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Alabama, regularly serving as counsel for one of the trustees. William is also a member of the attorneys section of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, the American Bar Association and the Alabama Defense Lawyer's Association.
William is married to the former Sharon Mullins. Sharon is from Birmingham, Alabama. They have two daughters.
