Since joining Field Law in 2012, Pablo has developed a keen interest in Insurance Law. He represents several of Canada’s leading Insurance Companies in defending claims, coverage disputes and pursuing subrogated matters. Pablo also provides legal opinions to Insurance Companies with regards to coverage and liability.
In addition to Insurance Law, Pablo maintains a general litigation practice and has represented several companies and individuals in construction litigation, shareholders disputes, debt recovery, personal injury, and commercial disputes. Pablo has successfully appeared in several matters in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
During law school, Pablo volunteered for Student Legal Services, the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and worked part-time with an immigration law sole practitioner. Pablo participated at the Clinton J. Ford Moot and was part of the winning team of the Laskin National Moot Competition. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and completed placements at Elizabeth Fry Society's Court Program and the Parole Board of Canada.
Outside of Work
In his spare time, Pablo enjoys spending time with his family. He helps teach his children's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class and he is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner and competitor.
