Rakhi provides legal services to Alberta school boards in the areas of education law, labour & employment law, contract law, privacy law, constitutional law, human rights law and legislative interpretation. Additionally, she provides advice regarding collective bargaining and negotiating with unions.
Previously, Rakhi provided counsel to provincial government ministries, officials, and Ministers, which included providing detailed substantive input in the development and drafting of new legislation, including the formative Alberta Education Act. Additionally, Rakhi employed her expertise in the negotiation and drafting of a historic Memorandum of Understanding for First Nations Education in Alberta.
