Yolanda also has experience in the area of professional liability and advising health-focused professional associations. She is counsel for the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association, and has acted on behalf of the Children's Guardian and the Director of Maintenance Enforcement.
Yolanda has appeared before every level of court in Alberta throughout her years of practice. She also recognizes the benefit of resolving matters consensually through informal and formal methods of dispute resolution and has participated in alternative methods such as Judicial Dispute Resolution and mediation, as well as through the collaborative process.

Yolanda has prepared papers for her various presentations for STEP and the Prairie Provinces Tax Conference. She is published in the Canadian Family Law Quarterly and also contributed a chapter to the LESA Estate Administration Handbook.
Yolanda has considerable experience as a writer and speaker and is often called upon to make presentations for the legal community and other community organizations, including the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She also regularly speaks at conferences, and has presented at the Federation of Law Societies National Family Law program.
