  • The Senate recently passed a tax reconciliation bill, H.R. 4297, titled the Tax Relief Act of 2005, that would significantly affect the tax treatment of employer provided noncommercial aircraft for both the employer and the employee. These provisions may not become law as they were not in the version of H.R. 4297 which the House passed. However, businesses that own noncommercial aircraft should pay close attention to the progress of this proposed legislation.
