  • On November 15, 2003, Senate Energy and National Resources Committee Chairman Pete Dominici (R-N.M.) and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Billy Tauzin publicly released proposed legislation that congressional leaders in both the Senate and House believe can be passed into law as the Energy Policy Act of 2003, the first comprehensive piece of federal energy legislation in more than a decade. The proposed legislation ("HR-6") consists of sixteen titles affecting a broad spectrum of energy-related issues.
