• EKPC Delays Deactivation of Two Coal-Fired Generating Units

  • At the request of PJM Interconnection (PJM), East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) will postpone deactivation of two coal-fired power units located in Clark County, Kentucky from April 2015 to April 2016. PJM requested such a delay due to electric grid reliability concerns regarding the sufficiency of necessary generating resources without these two units.
