  • On March 6, 2015, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) revised its Guidance Manual for Preparation of Health Risk Assessments (HRA), making the characterization of exposure risks to children from air toxics more stringent. By setting guidelines and risk assessments significantly more protective of public health, specifically among children populations, these revisions are likely to trigger tougher air emission limits and rules. It may also prompt more comprehensive California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance for industries in California.
