  • Groundwater is a precious resource and when it becomes contaminated due to decades of dumping methyl-ethyl-death (“MED”) out the back door, something has to be done. But imagine, if you will, that you are a private or public supplier of water and that part or all of your groundwater is laced with MED and you can’t use that water without costly remediation. You’ve happily been pumping this water for a decade and now what? Tell your rate payers they have to fork over twice their monthly bill to atone for someone else’s misdeeds?
