  • This article discusses five large water supply projects. Two projects have been completed successfully. One was vetoed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") and will not be built. Another has gotten all required permits and will be built in the near future. The last project is working its way through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) permit process. Each project illustrates important lessons for water utilities in need of additional water supply capacity.
