  • New regulations issued by the US Food and Drug Administration requiring the registration of food facilities and advance notification of food imports are set to go into effect next week. The regulations, which are designed to protect against terrorist threats to the food supply, are part of FDA's implementation of the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (the "Bioterrorism Act").
