Shaggy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, as well as a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Miami. She then went on to earn a juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. During law school, Shaggy worked as law clerk where she developed experience with business intelligence and personal injury, as well as serving as a 3L Representative for Evening Law Student Association, and a member of the International Citator and Research Guide.
Prior to her legal career, Shaggy worked as a chemist for five years, where she was responsible for molecular formulation, method of analyses, and documentation of chemicals.
