I am a managing partner of Gonsalves & Kozachenko. My focus is Estate Planning and Probate, but I also advise business clients on legal matters especially in regard to entity formation and succession planning.

For almost thirty years, I have provided services in estate and business planning, asset protection, trust administration and probate matters. My focus is to design and implement comprehensive family and business succession plans that address my clients’ unique personal, business and legal needs. I focus on the clients’ goals and provide customized drafting to achieve the clients’ objectives. While I have used sophisticated planning techniques to transfer businesses and estates to the next generation including grantor annuity trusts, intentionally defective trusts and family limited liability companies and partnerships, I also incorporate, where appropriate, simplified transactions that will achieve clients’ goals without creating unnecessary and expensive complex trusts and entities with burdensome costs to maintain. I work with our clients to accomplish their succession planning goals of transfer of the family wealth and business to the next generation with a plan that is understandable and affordable to maintain.

Before forming Gonsalves & Kozachenko, I served as a Judicial Extern to Judge Reid Ambler, Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County and worked at Coopers & Lybrand in personal financial planning and on individual tax matters. I also served as chair and as a member of the Fremont Economic Development Advisory Commission for eight years.

I have been a president and director of the Washington Township Bar Association, and I presently serve as a director of Fremont Bank.

Recipient, Merit Scholarship. Judicial Extern to Judge Reid Ambler, Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County. Pro Tem Judge, Superior Court, Alameda County. Chair, Fremont Economic Development Advisory Commission, 1991-1999. Member, Fremont Committee for the Year 2000, 1985-1986. Member, Board of Directors, Fremont Bank.
