A graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Martha Weis joined the firm in 2015. She brings with her extensive experience in intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, as well as trademark and copyright prosecution.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Weis served as an intellectual property attorney in Dallas, Texas. She represented a variety of large and small clients in a number of different matters, including right of publicity actions, copyright infringement of television scripts, patent infringement of security surveillance systems, and others.
Ms. Weis's trademark prosecution practice encompasses all aspects of trademark practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including the preparation and prosecution of trademark application, trademark oppositions, brief preparation, and arguments for appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her litigation experience also includes the preparation of pleadings, briefs, motions, and expert reports, as well as assisting in discovery and witness preparation for trial.
