  • On April 28, 2010, the Government of China (GOC) announced that it would impose provisional countervailing duties on imports of certain chicken products from the United States. This marks the second occasion on which the GOC has imposed duties on U.S. exports in order to offset alleged subsidies. The provisional duties on chicken imports will be up to 31 percent of the value of the goods, depending on the producer, and will be imposed on top of the provisional antidumping duties of up to 105 percent imposed on imports of the same product on February 5, 2010.
