  • Late this summer, the Illinois legislature passed the Firearm Concealed Carry Act (the "FCCA"), permitting Illinois citizens to carry concealed firearms. The Illinois State Police have until January 5, 2014 to make concealed carry license applications available to the public. Because employees may, in the very near future, be allowed to carry a concealed firearm, Illinois employers should understand how the FCCA may impact their policies and practices.
