  • On October 21, 2009, Mexico's Chamber of Deputies passed the revenue side of the 2010 budget. The Chamber of Deputies approved certain tax measures proposed by President Felipe Calderon and rejected others. The bill remains subject to approval by the Senate, and thus still may be modified. However, many of the new tax measures contained in the budget are likely to take effect beginning January 1, 2010.
