  • Although there is much uncertainty about the impact of health care reform, the recently-enacted Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act offers employers some relief in at least one area that should help reduce employer health care costs: wellness programs. As discussed below, the new law not only confirms federal government support for wellness programs, it also provides a means of assisting small employers with the cost of establishing and maintaining such programs.
