Marlo Johnson Roebuck is the Office Managing Principal of the Detroit and Grand Rapids, Michigan, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents employers on the myriad of laws governing the workplace, including but not limited to Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

With almost two decades of legal experience, Ms. Roebuck's representation includes employment advice and counseling as well as employment litigation. She has successfully represented employers in the health care, financial and professional services, automotive, retail, real estate, education, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries from internal investigations all the way through trial and appeal. She has attained on behalf of clients no cause verdicts in court and arbitration, and summary judgment, as well as procured reasonable settlements in mediation. She has also acted as in-house counsel for small business and worked on-site at a large, multi-state employer handling all termination decisions. Her extensive workplace law practice has taken on an increasing focus on the matrix of laws governing the privacy, security, and management of data, and she has been licensed as a Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP) with the international Association of Privacy Professionals. She also trains senior leadership and human resource professionals on maintaining compliance with EEO policies and is a frequently sought after contributor, speaker, and author on preventing unlawful harassment, making religious accommodations, handling tricky termination, employment remedies, and settlement negotiations.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Roebuck had her own practice where she acted as in-house counsel to small businesses. Before that, Ms. Roebuck was an associate and then of counsel to a labor and employment boutique firm in Michigan. She began her legal career as an associate in the Chicago office of a national law firm in its labor and employment and general litigation practice group. Ms. Roebuck began her professional career as a financial analyst and property accountant at a Fortune 100 company.

While attending law school, she served as the business manager and an articles and notes editor of the DePaul Law Review. Ms. Roebuck clerked for Judge Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Judge Blanche Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
