Biography

Jim Slaughter was the first attorney in North Carolina inducted as a Fellow into CAI’s College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL) and served as CCAL’s 2014 national President. He has been a member of the NC Bar Association’s Community Association Committee since its inception. In addition, he is a Certified Professional Parliamentarian, Professional Registered Parliamentarian, and past President of the American College of Parliamentary Lawyers (and author of two books on association meeting procedure, "The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Parliamentary Procedure Fast-Track" and "Notes and Comments on Robert’s Rules, Fourth Edition").
