She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Southern Indiana and J.D. degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law. She is currently working on a Masters in Environmental Resource Management at the University of South Carolina. Ms. McManaway presents CLE's on Family Law for the National Business Institute.

Involvement in the community is a staple for Karen. She is currently the President Elect for the Greater Greer Rotary Club, sits on the board for Hollywild Zoo and the Greer Chamber Legislative Committee.
