Biography

Kristine Denning is a partner in Harwood Lloyd's Insurance Litigation Department, with a concentration in fraud investigation and resulting litigation. Ms. Denning has received significant training and experience concerning bad faith litigation, declaratory judgment actions, fraud ring activity and actions under the New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prevention Act. Additionally, Ms. Denning's practice includes insurance coverage and defense, representing insurance companies directly or insureds at the request of their insurance carriers.

Ms. Denning received her B.A. in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating with Honors, including Cum Laude distinction, in 1990. Ms. Denning received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1993. During law school, she coordinated a pro bono program for domestic violence victims for Victim Services Agency at the New York State Supreme Court, Family Division. She represented mentally disabled persons in matters involving housing and public benefits, and monitored and made recommendations on proposed state and local legislation affecting the mentally disabled population for Mobilization for Youth Legal Services, Inc. in New York City. Ms. Denning also served as a Law Clerk for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Hackensack, New Jersey where she wrote trial and appellate legal briefs. Additionally, Ms. Denning served as an intern for the Hon. Isabel B. Stark, Judge (retired) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County.

Since graduating from law school, Ms. Denning has been associated with Harwood Lloyd.

Ms. Denning is a graduate of The Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court.

Ms. Denning is a member of the Foundation Board of Trustees and the Northern Region Advisory Council of New Jersey Youth Consultation Services (2011 to present), a nonprofit, non-sectarian agency that provides behavioral, health and social services to children and families in need. She also is a member of the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors (2012 to present), charged with assisting and directing implementation of the College Foundation's efforts in providing school resources and assets.

Ms. Denning is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1993), the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (1993), and the courts of the State of New York (1994).
