Our practice focuses on commercial transactions and civil litigation. We represent both large and small entities, from locally-owned, small businesses to international, Fortune 500 companies.
We have a long-standing reputation for providing high quality, responsive legal services. We believe our success over the years is a direct result of our deep emphasis on ethics and loyalty to our clients.
The firm is also a proud member of the Guam Chamber of Commerce, of which it has been a member for over 35 years.
Blair Sterling Johnson & Martinez, P.C., traces its roots to the solo practice of J. Bradley Klemm, which he established in 1975.
In 1977, Mr. Klemm partnered with Alan E. Dear and Willis R. Lawrence to form Klemm Dear & Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence eventually left the firm to become in-house counsel for Duty Free Shoppers International. Mr. Dear later retired and contributed a great deal of time in his later years toward improving the Guam Territorial Law Library.
Since then, the firm has hired and trained a great deal of local legal talent, with several of the firm's alumni moving on to become partners at large and prestigious international law firms and to take positions as in-house counsel for international corporations. The firm's alumni also include Hon. Peter C. Siguenza, Jr., former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Guam, and Hon. Jeffrey L. Beattie, former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau.
In December 2013, Mr. Klemm retired from the day-to-day practice of law. He still remains active; however, participating as the District Court of Guam's monitor for the Guam Department of Corrections.
