George practices in the field of business disputes, financial issues, personal injury and arbitration. He has tried over 100 jury cases to a conclusion, has settled over 500 other court cases, arbitrated approximately 30 cases, as a lawyer and has been an arbitrator in another approximately 25 major business and personal injury cases. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in their cases on about a 50/50 basis. His practice is divided between courts approximately as follows: 50% state court; 25% arbitration and 25% federal court. He has been an arbitrator in the fields of health care issues; computer software contract disputes in the fields of health care and insurance; employment contacts, change in control agreements; business disputes; personal injury liability; and in damages evaluations.

He has been a speaker at law functions and other professional functions such as meetings of The Connecticut Bar Association's annual meeting (in June 2013) on the subject of Winning at Arbitration; The Certified Public Accountants Society of Connecticut in the areas of examination and cross examination of expert witnesses; The Sarbanes-Oxley Act, internal business investigations; the attorney client privilege and the work product doctrine; and tort reform.

Among the many types of cases he handles are breaches of contract, unfair trade practices, minority shareholder interests, shareholders derivative actions, fraud, liability of professionals (e.g. accountants, lawyers, investment bankers) who aid and abet a client's fraud, insurance issues, banking issues, ERISA plan providers, financial and securities matters, equitable actions and defenses, directors and officers liability, breaches of fiduciary duty, personal injury litigation, trusts and estates litigation, jurisdictional issues, and general tort litigation including personal injury and products liability. George also serves as a commercial arbitrator and as a Special Master for the U.S. District Court in Connecticut.

George is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which means that he has met rigorous screening requirements of experience and education and successfully undergone a process of examination and peer review. He is a charter member and first Connecticut president of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a fellow of the Academy of Court Appointed (Special) Masters and a fellow of the American College of Board Certified Attorneys. His professional abilities and ethical standards have earned him the highest AV rating by the peer-reviewed legal directory Martindale-Hubbell. He has been listed in Who's Who in American and International Law and is a fellow of the Connecticut and American Bar Foundations. George received the American Jurisprudence Award in Insurance and is a former member of the Judicial Selection Commission for the State of Connecticut. He has advanced training as a commercial arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association, and FINRA and has taken courses in mediation.

George was Chairman of the Civil Litigation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, member of the Board of Directors of the Hartford County Bar Association and member of the Board of Editors of the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Presently he is a certified arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. Since 2006 he has been selected by Super Lawyers in the areas of Business Litigation, Civil Litigation and Professional Liability.
