Mary Mintel Miller is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Area and focuses on Environmental and Intellectual Property Law. Mary advises clients regarding the acquisition and leasing of industrial and commercial property, including reviewing environmental analysis, preparing applications for environmental land use restrictions, and overseeing the transfer of underground storage tanks. She has represented clients in litigation ranging from federal CERCLA and RCRA actions, to state disputes arising under the Environmental Protection Act and Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, both at the trial phase and on appeal. Mary has submitted commentary on proposed industrial wind turbine regulations to the state legislature.
Mary also advises clients on matters related to copyright, trademark and patent registration and has litigated infringement actions in federal court. Additionally, Mary is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
While in law school, Mary worked at the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Norfolk, Virginia, and later gained additional litigation experience at a law firm in Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to joining Reid and Riege, Mary practiced at a firm in Springfield, Massachusetts, but is pleased to be able to return to her home state of Connecticut.
