  • On May 17, 2005, the Department of Health and Human Services published its Final Rule on research misconduct to ensure public confidence in the integrity of scientific data, and Public Health Service supported research. The Final Rule revises existing regulations on how institutions investigate and report on allegations of research misconduct. Institutions that apply for or receive Public Health Service support for research-related activities must comply with these regulations.
