  • As hospitals continue to struggle with the effects of Medicare, Medicaid and private payor reimbursement cuts, and other business and competitive pressures, some hospitals may be considering the sale or lease of all or substantially all of the assets of the facility. If the assets of the hospital are owned by a hospital authority or non-profit corporation, however, any hospital considering the sale or lease of its assets must comply with the provisions of O.C.G.A. ยง 31-7-400, et seq., which is commonly known as House Bill 600.
