Peter Mariano Cordovano was born in Manhattan, NY, raised in Queens, NY, and resides in New Paltz, NY. Attorney Cordovano received a Bachelor's degree in the pre-medical sciences from Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY in 1981, and received his Doctorate of Law from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law Center in Huntington, NY in 1986.

For many years, Mr. Cordovano also served his state, county and town as a Delegate to the NYS Third District's Judicial Committee; as a Board of Ethics member to the Ulster County Legislature, assisting in a substantial rewrite of that County's Ethics Law in 2007 and 2008; and as a Board of Ethics member to the Village of New Paltz.
