Billy’s practice is varied and covers family law, civil litigation and media law issues.He advises on all areas of family law, in particular cases involving complex asset holding structures and trusts. He advises husbands, wives, unmarried partners, as well as representing other relevant parties, such as parents in their children’s divorce cases and grandparents in Wardship cases. He is also a qualified collaborative practitioner.
Aside from family law cases, Billy also advises on a wide spectrum of civil litigation cases and has experience advising and representing clients on all levels of courts in Hong Kong. He has advised on corporate and contractual disputes for local and international companies.
As a member of the media and reputation management team, Billy acts for individuals and organisations on how their reputation can best be protected and enhanced, and on cases that involves defamation, privacy or harassment issues.
Acted on behalf of a chairlady of a listed company in Hong Kong. The size of the family asset is over HK$1billion. As the majority of the family assets are held under a Cayman Islands trust, complicated legal issues were involved.
Acting on behalf of a dependent making a monetary claim under the Mental Health Ordinance against the committee of a mentally incapacitated Person, being an extremely well known entrepreneur.
Acting on behalf of a client in her taxation proceedings against a top tier international law firm.
