  • Jury verdicts against employers, especially for age discrimination, have proliferated despite a decline in verdicts for plaintiffs in personal injury cases. The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ("SJC"), however, in the case of Knight v. Avon Products, Inc., recently overturned a plaintiff's verdict where the plaintiff's replacement was less than five years younger than the plaintiff.
