Mr. Breeden focuses his practice on oil and gas title work. He has rendered hundreds of title opinions on oil and gas properties in the Barnett Shale in North Texas and the Haynesville Shale in East Texas. He is experienced in delivering original drilling opinions, division order title opinions, supplemental title opinions, limited leasehold title opinions and surface title opinions. Mr. Breeden analyzes and interprets various title instruments and contractual agreements associated with oil and gas exploration and production.
Mr. Breeden began his legal career working for an exploration and production company drafting various legal instruments relevant to the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties, including oil and gas leases, deeds, easements and stipulations of interest. Prior to joining Burleson LLP, Mr. Breeden was an associate with a Houston-based energy firm.
