Biography

Jake Kauffman completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee before returning to his home state of Texas to obtain his Juris Doctor at South Texas College of Law.

While at South Texas, Jake interned under Chief Justice Adele Hedges of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, served as Vice President of the South Texas College of Law Chapter of the Federalist Society, was a co-founder and Director of the South Texas Hunting and Rifle Association, and gained certification as a Third Party Mediator from the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.

Jake has extensive experience litigating first and third-party insurance disputes, as well as commercial, employment, and maritime matters. Jake has also accumulated considerable experience in general liability litigation, namely personal injury and wrongful death suits within construction, premises liability, dram shop, and products liability contexts.
