Mr. Matthew C. Rawlinson

Matthew Rawlinson represents a broad array of clients in complex commercial and energy-litigation matters, litigating in various areas, including oil and gas royalty, landowner, operator and pollution disputes, construction issues, insurance and indemnity claims, breach of contract disputes, business torts and other general contractual matters, in many state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

With more than 18 years of experience, Matt is well-versed in handling oil and gas industry commercial disputes. He regularly works with investors, energy providers, project developers, underwriters and commodity trading firms to navigate the emerging issues that arise from oilfield services, interstate gas pipeline projects and energy sector contracts.

Matt’s extensive experience includes representing an international drilling contractor and an oil pipeline company in connection with large oil spills, an oil and natural gas company in control of well claims, and an oil and gas company in construction disputes arising out of the sale of crude heaters for a refinery modernization project.

Admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas, Matt’s previous experience includes arbitrating numerous cases, and recovering significant sums for clients in energy-related contract disputes.
