  • September 20, 2013
  • Law Firm: FosterQuan LLP - Houston Office
  • Beginning Monday September 23rd, the Houston Passport Agency in the Leland Federal Building in downtown Houston will be closed to the public for renovations, re-opening in early 2014. The closure will affect individuals seeking to make in-person appearances in order to obtain an initial United States passport, passport renewal, or second passport on an urgent (1-2 day) or same-day basis.

Passport acceptance facilities, including post offices and clerks of court in the Houston area, will continue to accept routine (4-6 week) and expedited (2-3 week) passport service applications. Applicants in need of emergency passport services for immediate travel should contact their FosterQuan attorney to discussion options for securing a passport or schedule an appointment with the closest passport agencies located in Dallas, El Paso, or New Orleans.

FosterQuan will continue to monitor the closure and other immigration related matters and will provide additional information in future Immigration Updates©, and on our firm’s website at www.fosterquan.com.
