  • Employers and their foreign employees can expect government processing delays across the Middle East from November 13 to 20, 2010 due to Eid al-Adha. Due to the holiday period, reductions in working hours and office closures are expected throughout the region and at Middle Eastern consular posts abroad, so processing delays are likely. For example, in the United Arab Emirates, government offices will be closed November 15 ¿ 18, while government offices in Saudi Arabia and Qatar will be closed the entire week. Similar governmental closures are likely throughout the region.

Typically during holiday periods, only emergency cases are accepted at special immigration counters.

Normal working hours are expected to resume on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
