• February 2012 Visa Bulletin: India/China EB-2 Priority Dates Advance One Year

  • EB-2 priority dates for India and China will advance dramatically by one year, to January 1, 2010, according to the Department of State‚Äôs February 2012 Visa Bulletin. If demand increases significantly in response to next month's advancement, retrogression of EB-2 cut-off dates for India and China is possible later in the year.

    EB-3 priority dates for professionals and skilled workers will advance by one week for India, to August 15, 2002; approximately one and a half months for China, to December 1, 2004; and three weeks for all other countries, to February 22, 2006.

    EB-3 priority dates for other workers will remain at April 22, 2003 for China, and advance by two weeks, to August 15, 2002, for India. All other countries will advance two weeks, to February 22, 2006.

    The February 2012 EB immigrant priority date cut-offs will be:

    EB-1

    Current for all countries.

    EB-2

    India: January 1, 2010
    China: January 1, 2010
    Current for all other countries.

    EB-3 Professionals and Skilled Workers

    India: August 15, 2002
    China: December 1, 2004
    All other countries: February 22, 2006

    EB-3 Other Workers

    China: April 22, 2003
    All other countries: February 22, 2006
