Foreign nationals must electronically submit supporting documents to schedule an appointment online for all in-country immigration process at Foreigners Regional Registration Offices (FRROs) and Foreign Registration Offices (FROs) throughout India. The requirement was recently announced on India’s online application website, but has not been enforced until now.
To ensure that a timely appointment can be secured on their behalf, foreign nationals should supply their immigration service provider with a digital photograph, a copy of their passport, including the page with their Indian visa showing an entry stamp, and proof of residence, such as a letter from their hotel or a notarized lease agreement.
The passport and visa copies must be contained in a single document. The proof of residence must be a separate document. Both must be in PDF format and under 200KB.
