A spending resolution signed into law on December 10 will fund the federal government and prolong the temporary reauthorization of four expiring immigration programs through April 28, 2017.
The interim spending measure temporarily extends without change the E-Verify program, the EB-5 Regional Center permanent residence program for foreign investors, the Conrad 30 waiver program for foreign medical graduates who will work in areas of the United States that are underserved by physicians, and the special immigrant non-minister religious worker permanent residence program.
