• U.S.C.I.S. Announces Changes in Appearance of "Green Cards"

  • On November 15, 2004, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it will be making minor changes in the appearance of the Permanent Residence Card (Form I-551). These cards are issued by the immigration service as evidence of a Lawful Permanent Resident's authorization to work and reside in the United States. The new cards will state "Department of Homeland Security" on the back and feature the "DHS" seal on the front. The new cards will also include enhanced security features.
