  • Last week, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois held that Section 12(a) of the Illinois Right to Privacy in the Workplace Act ("Section 12(a)" or the "Illinois Act") violates the supremacy clause of the United States Constitution and is thus invalid. See United States v. Illinois, No. 07-3261, (C.D. Ill. March 12, 2009).
