The firm has an extensive and varied trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts, with an emphasis on the handling of products liability, commercial, municipal liability, premises liability, condemnation or eminent domain, commercial foreclosure, contract, construction, employment, environmental, insurance coverage, design professional liability, personal injury, property damage and fidelity claims and cases. The firm's trial practice is frequently national in scope, as several of the firm's trial lawyers are routinely involved in handling cases in jurisdictions in various parts of the country outside Indiana. The firm's employment law practice includes the defense of employment discrimination cases and general consultation regarding federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Wooden & McLaughlin's transactional practice covers real estate, finance, banking, commercial and general business services as well as a variety of specialized services. The firm's transactional practice has been involved in many of the most significant real estate developments in central Indiana.
